Cards Magic Tricks

Have you ever wondered how magicians pull off their magic tricks on stage? To the spectator it seems amazing but there are secrets behind these magic tricks that you have seen before. Card tricks are probably the most popular in the book. Magicians use cards most of the time and get an innocent onlooker participate in their trick.

Here are some simple card tricks that you can try at home. Remember since you’re not a professional magician yet, practice makes perfect. Once you’ve learned the basics, try it out a few times before actually attempting to do the trick for others.

Let’s call this first trick 2 of a Kind. The main goal of this card trick is to match the cards that your spectator chooses and the card that you choose. First step is to shuffle the cards in front of your spectator. Inform the spectator that you will choose 2 cards. Go through the deck quickly, making sure you remember the card on the bottom and on the top of the deck. Pick out a card that matches the card on the bottom of the deck. Just as an example, if the bottom card is a 5 of spades, pick the 5 of clover from the deck. Then likewise, pick your second card, making sure it matches the card at the top of the deck. As all magicians do, ask the spectator to cut the deck. Then take the first card on the top of the original deck and reveal it. After doing so, flip the bottom half of the deck completely. Finally flip over the cards you picked and they should all match.

Enjoying so far? Another card trick you can try is All the Aces. In preparation for this trick you have to make sure that all four aces are on top of the deck. First tell your spectator to cut the deck into two piles. Once that’s done have the spectator cut the deck a second time to make four piles. To keep track of the piles, in your head number the piles 1 to 4, 4 being the pile with all the Aces on top. Of course, you won’t be telling your spectator this bit of information, it’s just to help you keep track of the piles. Now have the spectator pick up one pile and put the top three cards onto the bottom. Then ask the spectator to deal the top three cards onto the other piles, one card to each pile. The spectator will do the same with the other piles in order as you point to the piles you want them to deal. Once the spectator is done with all the piles, just turn over the top cards to reveal the Aces. So there you have it!

Learning card games isn’t really that difficult as long as you focus and get your act together. It’s helpful to research other card games online to keep you updated. With enough practice, you’ll definitely be able to pull off card tricks just like a pro.
