There are many forms of entertainment nowadays and performing magic tricks seem to be a favorite. There are different types of magic but for the beginner, coin magic tricks are simple and fun to learn. So why not try being the magician for a change.

Any magic trick requires guts and you have to be very confident in delivering your trick for your spectators to believe you. One trick you can start off with is Now You See It, Now You Don’t trick. Here you’re supposed to make the coin disappear from your hand. In preparation for this trick, there are a few things you have to do. First, you have to make a hole at one edge of the coin and tie an elastic to it. You’ll have to tie the other end of the elastic to a safety pin and attach the pin to the inner part of your right sleeve just under your armpit. Make sure the elastic is long enough so that it shoots up your arm when you release it with your hand.

Hold the coin firmly between your right index finger and thumb, making sure that your fingers hide the hole and the elastic. Place the coin into your left palm and begin closing your left hand whilst your right fingers still hold it. Just as your left hand closes enough to block the coin from the spectators view, release it with your fingers so that it shoots up your sleeve. The rest of this effective coin trick is entirely up to you. You can say a few magic words and slowly open your left hand to show that the coin has vanished.

There’s also the all famous Handkerchief Trick. In this trick the coin is supposed to disappear from inside the handkerchief. Before starting this trick you have to wrap a rubber band around your fingers and thumb. Make sure to place the handkerchief over the hand with the rubber band. Using your free hand, place the coin into the handkerchief. Let the rubber band slide off your fingers and onto the handkerchief so that it surrounds the coin and it is under the handkerchief. You can then slide your hand up to the end of the handkerchief and shake it. This makes it appear as if the coin has disappeared but in reality it is stuck in the handkerchief, held by the rubber band. Easy as cake right?
